This book is about a girl named Elaine who moves to Indianapolis.
When she was running on the bike path one day she could have sworn she saw someone at the bottom of a ravine. On the second lap, she does she sees a boy named Will, a girl named Jennifer and a boy named Lance walking up the ravine. Elaine comes to a conclusion that she is in love with Will.
After a school football game Will invites Elaine to go to a party he is holding. When the party is over she finds his stepbrother, Marco. Marco pushes Elaine and leaves.
One day at school one of Elaine teachers say that Marco is going to kill his brother.
Elaine finds Will next to Marco at the bottom of the ravine and he has a gun. Will Marco shoot Will or is it a joke? Read and find out.
