Tiger Rising reviewed by Shelby

The Tiger Rising
By Kate DiCamillo
116 pages

The book The Tiger Rising is about a boy named Rob who finds a locked up tiger in the woods behind the motel he lives in. This was the most exciting moment for Rob since his mom had died. Later in the book, Rob meets a new girl at school named Sistine. Right after Sistine starts to come to school Rob stops going to school because he has a contagious rash on his legs. Rob is glad about this because two kids bully him all and everyday. The owner of the hotel gives Rob the keys to the tiger’s cage because he finds out that he has time to feed the tiger. When Rob finally meets up with Sistine again, she talks him into letting the tiger go. Rob feels bad for the tiger and agrees to let it go. When Rob opened the cage and the tiger walked out… You’ve got to read the book to find out what happens next.

I really like this author too. She has written a lot of good books. My favorite is A Tale Of Despereaux.
